Meet Prominda Homes

With more than a decade of experience in the construction industry, Jane Hunter has become the driving force behind Prominda Homes’ design, client experience and project coordination. As co-owner, Jane works closely with clients, architects and preferred suppliers and trades to deliver modular homes across NSW that are both beautifully designed and built with attention to detail.
Jane is known for her professionalism, integrity and calm, solutions-focused approach. Her ability to balance creative design with budget control and build practicality has made her a trusted figure in the modular and prefabricated homes NSW market. From concept to completion, she ensures every client is informed, confident and supported throughout the process — one of the reasons Prominda Homes is known for reliability and excellence in regional building.
Jane’s work ethic is tireless. Jane assesses transport logistics, safeguarding quality and ensuring every modular home is delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard. She has managed projects in bushfire zones, flood-prone areas and remote builds and heritage projects, always finding ways to uphold safety, sustainability and compliance.
Beyond her professional expertise, Jane is a pillar of her community. A Lockhart Shire councillor and active volunteer, she contributes to local fundraising, not-for-profit initiatives and sporting committees for football and netball clubs.
Through her leadership, empathy and drive for improvement, Jane continues to strengthen Prominda Homes’ reputation as a builder that blends quality construction with genuine community care — proving that energy-efficient, solar-passive homes can build not only better living spaces, but stronger regional futures.

Andrew is one of southern NSW’s most respected businessmen. He has spent a career innovating and founded the first private fleece measurement service in Eastern Australia in 1987. That business has been on-sold and is still trading some four decades later. It brought affordable and accurate fleece measurement to stud and commercial flocks of the merino industry.
In 2000, Andrew was one of three co-founders of Proway Livestock Equipment, designing and delivering cutting-edge livestock handling equipment. Andrew’s name is on several Proway patents, including the Proway bulk handler for sheep. “The Bulkie” is now sold worldwide and has been tagged an “industry changer”.
Selling out of Proway in 2016 to indulge his life-long passion for farming, and to spend more time with his family.
Prominda was originally part of the Proway business, and Andrew took Prominda with him upon his exit from Proway.
Prominda has been built out of Andrew and Jane’s shared experience in building their own house on the farm. Experiencing frustration with builders only wanting to create very conventional builds, they took on the role of owner, designer and builder. Confronted with tradesmen wanting to work 6-hour-days, charge travel time, and be back at the local hotel by 3pm, there had to be a batter and fairer middle-ground.
This became the genesis for the idea behind the Prominda system. Andrew brings his vision and experience in growing a business based on fulfilling real needs to Prominda

Bruce is a widely travelled engineer whose technical expertise and environmental insight have shaped Prominda Homes’ distinctive approach to modular and prefabricated building. As one of the company’s early innovators, Bruce was instrumental in developing Prominda’s eco-friendly systems.
Bruce began his engineering career building food processing facilities in Papua New Guinea, Malaysia and China. He performed at a level that warranted a contract at Nestle’s world headquarters in Switzerland.
Living in a Prominda home himself, Bruce brings a first-hand understanding of how intelligent engineering, solar-passive design and everyday liveability come together. His eye for detail ensures every project balances customer vision with engineering precision and compliance, maintaining both beauty and integrity in every build.
With a background that spans large-scale infrastructure and regional development, Bruce applies a practical, solutions-based mindset to each Prominda project. His work continues to strengthen the company’s reputation for energy-efficient, environmentally responsible homes that perform in Australia’s most diverse conditions.

Kelly Hunt plays a pivotal role in the day-to-day success of Prominda Homes, overseeing all operational systems — from payroll and compliance to project coordination and business administration. As Director and Operations Manager, she ensures that every part of Prominda’s modular home process runs efficiently, transparently, and in full compliance with industry standards.
Kelly has been the cornerstone of systems management within the company, building strong internal processes that keep projects on schedule. She leads Prominda’s weekly operational meetings with a hands-on, solutions-focused approach, quickly resolving challenges and supporting both the office and on-site team. Her reputation as a problem solver and organised leader ensures that Prominda’s projects — whether small modular homes or larger builds — are delivered with precision and confidence.
Keeping with Prominda’s strong family foundations, Kelly works alongside her husband, sister, brother-in-law, and nephew, bringing a genuine sense of connection and accountability to every build. Her compassion and leadership extend beyond business operations — most recently through the “Granny Flat for a Granny” project, an inspiring initiative to create a modular home for her mother, Sue, on the family property. The project, designed to maintain close care and independence, has resonated widely across the community and social media, showcasing the human side of Prominda’s work. Kelly’s dedication, efficiency, and care continue to strengthen Prominda’s position as one of the most trusted names in modular homes NSW, proving that operational excellence and heartfelt service go hand in hand.
